ABOUT
GRADUATE INITIATIVE AFRICA
Graduate Initiative Africa (G.I.A) is a community-based organization in Wakiso, Uganda, dedicated to empowering grassroots communities by providing vocational training, career guidance, and social transformation programs. Founded in 2014, G.I.A addresses key challenges such as youth unemployment, gender-based violence, human rights abuse, ill health, and poverty.
With our motto, “Empowered to Empower,” we equip individuals with practical skills in hairdressing, tailoring, welding, mobile phone repair, makeup artistry, computer literacy, and construction, enabling them to become self-reliant and economically independent.
