About Us
Graduate Initiative Africa (G.IA) is a community based Organization Registration number WCBO/24/3729 located in Uganda in the district of Wakiso, Wakiso sub county, Kyebando Parish, Kyebando village. The organization was established to empower the grass root community to overcome social problems like unemployment; Gender based Violence, human rights abuse, ill health and poverty. Since its inception in 2014 Graduate Initiative Africa (G.I.A) has undertaken various COMMUNITY transformation initiatives that include; hands on skills training, Career guidance outreaches especially in schools, Community health out reaches, gender sensitization, human rights awareness, reproductive health education and environment protection initiatives all aimed at building empowered, more resilient and better communities that can rise up, combat and transform yesterdays challenges into today’s opportunities under our SLOGAN, “EMPOWERED TO EMPOWER”.
At Graduate Initiative Africa (G.I.A) we strongly believe that sustainable community transformation can only be achieved if communities are empowered to identify, take ownership and drive their own transformation.
